Mawsynram is a village in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya state in northeastern India, 65 kilometres from Shillong. Mawsynram receives the highest rainfall in India. It is reportedly the wettest place on Earth, with an average annual rainfall of 1,872 mm. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Mawsynram received 26,000 mm of rainfall in 1985.

By Air- Shillong airport is the nearest airport to Mawsynram located at a distance of 89 kms.
By Train- The nearest station is Guwahati railway station, approx. 150 kms. It will take 4 hrs 30 min to reach from railway station to mawsynram.
By Road- Mawsynram is 60 kms from Shillong and you will hire taxi from Shillong to reach here, which takes nearly 2 hrs.
